Good News Report

All end-of-the-year activities for the 2025–2026 school year were highly successful and well received by students, families, and staff. The final staff vacancy has been filled, and Latonia Elementary is now fully staffed for the upcoming school year. Gym construction is scheduled to begin on July 20. Additionally, we were awarded a $6,000 math grant from Educate NKY. Latonia Elementary also achieved the highest attendance on the Summer Program High Attendance Day. This is the final week of the Summer Program. Throughout the program, kindergarten through fifth-grade students have participated in daily fitness and enrichment activities. Students in grades 1–5 have also engaged in project-based learning experiences in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Kindergarten students have participated in the Me and My School program, which has helped prepare them for a successful transition into the upcoming school year.
